Deepika Varadarajan
Vocalist
Deepika hails from a musically distinct school of G.N.B, M.L.V and Sudha Ragunathan. She completed her B.Tech. Information Technology from Easwari Engineering College and is currently in pursuit of Masters in Sanskrit, Madras University.
Deepika’s initiation into music and then into the world of films is an amazing metamorphosis of a playful child metamorphosed into a responsible professional. She gained expertise in different strokes, be it singing, acting, dubbing for films and serials, modelling for commercials or playing the piano. Since 1997, Deepika learns music from Padmashri Sudha Ragunathan.
Deepika is a multifaceted performer with an experience of two decades in the music industry. With over 100 film songs in six languages to her credit, Deepika performs actively in the Classical music circuit. Deepika is an A grade All India Radio artist. Deepika also performs along with the legendary Shankar Mahadevan on his special shows.
Tanmay Deochake
Harmonium Player
Creator of inventive and aesthetic instrumentation, blender of musical genres: Tanmay Deochake is one of the most sought out ,versatile and renowned Harmonium players in India.
It was under the tutelage and guidance of his grandfather Gopalrao Deochake and his father Abhay Deochake that he studied the harmonium and keyboard. At the tender age of four, he made his debut at a reputed festival and by the age of twenty, he was already accompanying well established, honorable musicians.
A noteworthy period in Tanmay’s musical sojourn came when he received his Indian classical music training at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya , where he learnt in the age-old indian traditional gurukul format under the guidance of Pt. Pramod Marathe. Tanmay has also had the privilege of receiving guidance from his gurus Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar and Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
