Mattur Vishwajith is a Bengaluru-based Carnatic violinist known for his sensitive accompaniment. Trained initially under Sri Hosahalli Subba Rao, a direct disciple of violin maestro Lalgudi G. Jayaraman, he has further refined his musicianship under distinguished gurus including Rudrapatnam Thyagarajan, Sri H. V. Raghuram, and Vidushi Rajeshwari Nagendra Prasad. An engineer by education, Vishwajith is now a sought after violinist, having accompanied numerous leading and emerging Carnatic artists across India. Equally at ease in concert performance and teaching, he is admired for his adherence to classicism, thoughtful, supportive accompaniment.
