Saumitra Kshirsagar is a Harmonium Solo artist and an adept accompanying artist who excels in the theoretical aspects of Hindustani Art Music. Having stood first in his post-graduation degree course (M.A. Music), and in the All India Radio National Music Competition. Saumitra has undergone rigorous training of more than two decades under eminent Guru-s Dr. Chaitanya Kunte and Dr. Arawind Thatte. Saumitra regularly accompanies several senior maestros and contemporary vocalists all over India at prestigious music festivals including the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav. His curation of musical concepts under his own production house ‘Kalavadhan’ has been well acknowledged. He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with distinction.
