Swara Prabhat and Melange, Music and Dance Festival
Rithwik Foundation and Rutuja Soman Cultural Academy has organized the Swara Prabhat and Melange music and dance festival on Sunday (Dt:18 Nov). At 7am the festival will be inaugurated by the hands of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia at MES auditorium, Mayur Colony. At this ceremony Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia will be felicitated on the occasion of his 80th birthday and Padmashree Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talvalkar will be present for for the function. Also, a concert by Pandit Mukul Shivputra will be held. At 5 in the evening the Melange music and dance festival will begin with ‘Ganesh Vandana’ by Aboli Abhyankar-Thatte and Sanika Deodhar at the Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium at Karvenagar. Purbayan Chatterjee will play sitar and the concert will conclude with melodious songs by Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar. During the press conference Pravin Kadale, President of Rithwik Foundation, informed that the event is open for all. Renowned singer Raghunandan Panshikar, musician Dr. Aadinath Mangeshkar, and Rujuta Soman, Founder of Rujuta Soman Cultural Academy, were also present.
