The special attraction of the morning event of Swara Prabhat is that Padmavibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia will be laying the foundation of ‘Rithwik Foundation’. He will also be felicitated in the same function on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Rithwik Foundation President, Pravin Kadale, informed that Padmashree Taalyogi Pandit Suresh Talvalkar will be the chief guest and a concert by Pandit Mukul Shivputra will conclude the event.
Rujuta Soman founder of Rujuta Soman Cultural Academy shared that the evening concert of Melange Music & Dance festival will begin with ‘Vandana’ by Aboli Abhyankar-Thatte and Sanika Deodhar. Rujuta Soman will perform a solo dance. Purbayan Chatterjee will play sitar and will be accompanied by the favourite tabla player of today’s young generation, Ojas Aadhiya. The event will conclude with melodious songs by Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar. The special attraction of this ceremony will be the flute performance by well-known flautist Pravin Godkhindi. This concert will be funded by ‘Rithwik Foundation’.
On this occasion Raghunandan Panshikar said, “Rithwik foundation established by Pravin Kadale is a matter of pride for all artists from the music fraternity and they always try to preserve the tradition of Indian classical music and are keen to pass it on to the next generation.”
