Rujuta Soman Cultural Academy, a division of Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts, is back with Guru in Residence resuming first time post Covid.
This year we had with us the living legend Pt. Rajendra Gangani Ji! A 2-day workshop with 12 hours full of Kathak.
The workshop was conducted on the 10th and 11th of September 2022 at the RFPA Centre. Kothrud.
Kathak Visharads and students who have been seeking vigorous kathak training for minimum 8 years were in attendance.
There were also Q/As sessions at the end of the day.
Students received the recording of the teaching sessions and also were also endowed with certifications.
In all, there were 25 senior scholars from several cities – not just Pune – including Delhi / Mumbai as well. This was a step forward for RFPA and its objectives to nurture young performers.
