Niranjan Lele is a disciple of the renowned harmonium maestro Tulsidas Borkar. He had early lessons in music from Shashikant Shembekar and Joshi whereby he obtained the “Sangeet Visharad” from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
Trained in North Indian (Hindustani) classical music, he has accompanied several musicians in India and abroad.
For his talent in music, he has been awarded the Manohar Waman Rege Puraskar from Swar-Mauli, Mumbai and Lt. Pt. Vishwanath Pendharkar Smruti Puraskar from Swar-Sanskar Samiti.
He is presently part of the music faculty at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Bandra, Mumbai for the past three years.
