Singing has mostly been associated as a hobby for most of the people around the world. It starts with the hobby, and slowly progresses to be a part of your life. Some begin in childhood and evolve through academic learning or some begin late after achieving their other goals of life. In both the scenarios it starts within ourselves.
Many of us are under shyness and think it requires a melodious voice or one must have a musical background. Anyone who sings well are frequently asked similar questions about their background or having received formal training.
For me, as early as six year old child, it was the swar of the harmonium that helped in realizing the dream of making a career in this industry. As the time changes, so do the ways of realization.
The prominent singers, performers that we know today have gone through their own phases of hardships. The approach towards singing as a career was different, the approach based on gender was poles apart.
Priorities were different and those who knew they can’t do anything but singing, found a way out to struggle and continued with their musical journey.
