This performance is organised by Suburban Music Circle in association with Rithwik Foundation.

Featured Artist

Shivani Kallianpur was born into a deeply music-oriented family, with her talent identified early by her grandmother, Late Smt. Nirmala Haldipur. She is the niece of internationally acclaimed flautist Pt. Nityanand Haldipur.
She began her musical journey at the age of five under Pt. Dharmadhikari and later received advanced training from Smt. Shalmali Joshi of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana. She is currently under the tutelage of Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, gaining refined insights into Khayal and Thumri gayaki, and is also learning Thumris from Smt. Shubha Joshi, a senior disciple of the late Vidushi Shobha Gurtu. She has additionally received guidance from Vidushi Girija Devi during a workshop at NCPA, Mumbai.
An A-Grade Artist of All India Radio in Semi-Classical music and a Gold Medalist in AIR competitions, Shivani is also a Ministry of Culture scholarship holder. With a strong academic background including an MA in Hindustani Classical Music, she has performed widely across India at prestigious festivals and cultural platforms.
Her notable musical contribution includes the Thumri album “Bairan Ratiya”, reflecting her deep engagement with semi-classical aesthetics and expressive artistry.

Bharat Kamat was born and brought up in Pune and has risen to become one of the leading tabla artists in India today.
Since Kamat comes from a family of tabla exponents, he started learning the instrument at the age of five from his father, Pt Chandrakant Kamat. Bharat began his career with Pt Jitendra Abhisheki in 1987.
He has performed at prominent national festivals, including the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen festival, Vasantotsav, Ragmala, and many others.
He has participated in all the leading music festivals in India and has toured the USA, the UK, the UAE, Switzerland, Germany. He has worked with several recording labels, including HMV, Rhythm House, and Navras Records (London), and is a regular broadcaster with All India Radio and Doordarshan.

Suyog is an established harmonium player of the younger generation.
He has achieved a distinct identity of his own at a very young age. He started training in Harmonium at the age of six from Smt.Ranjana Godse. Since 1997, he has been a devoted student of Dr. Arawind Thatte.
Also, a keen student of classical vocal music, Suyog has trained under Shri. Shreeram Devasthali, Shri. Suhas Datar and Smt. Lalita Khadilkar.
He has also participated in “Tappa” workshops conducted by Pt. Balasaheb Poochwale and Pt. Vasantrao Rajurkar. Suyog is an artist of the All India Radio and Doordarshan. Suyog is on the panel of ”Lalit Kala Kendra” (Centre for Performing Arts- Pune University) as a Guru.
