Rithwik Foundation is proud to present an exclusive e-Yuva Swaranubhuti program, featuring the vocal recital of Saurabh Kadgaonkar.

This performance was originally a part of ‘Gaanasaraswati Mahotsav 2024’, organised by Natyasampada Pratishthan in association with Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts.

It is available on our digital platform ‘Sharada Rangamancha’ as well as on our Youtube channel.

Saurabh Kadgaonkar

Saurabh Kadgaonkar is an acclaimed up-and-coming Classical Music vocalist with extensive experience in genres such as Light Classical and Natyasangeet. He has been trained in both the Kirana and Jaipur gharanas, showcasing a rich and diverse musical foundation. Saurabh holds an M.A. in Vocal Music from Shivaji University, Kolhapur (2011), and a Sangeet Visharad in Vocal Music and Harmonium (2008). His musical journey began under the tutelage of Shri Sunil Kadgaonkar from 1996 to 2006, and he is currently a senior disciple of Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar, a disciple of Gaana Saraswati Kishori Amonkar, since 2006. Saurabh has been a Classical Vocal teacher at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune, since 2007, and taught at FLAME University, Pune, from 2013 to 2015.

His achievements include successfully performing in five rounds of the Zee Marathi Saregamapa contest in 2009, winning first prize in the Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Karandak at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in 2007, and performing in 105 live shows of the Marathi musical drama “Katyar Kaljaat Ghusli” with stalwarts like Rahul Deshpande and Subodh Bhave since 2010. He regularly provides accompanist support to Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar and has performed in the Pune All India Radio Yuvawani program in 2011.

Saurabh won first prize in the All India Radio Classical Music competition in 2011 and received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in Classical Vocal Music the same year. He was the runner-up in the Doordarshan Urdu Channel Classical Vocal Music competition in 2013 and has been performing in All India Radio in B High grade since 2015. He performed in the prestigious Vasantotsav, Pune, in 2022 and has given performances across multiple states in India. Saurabh also provided playback for the movie “Mi Vasantrao” as the young Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande.
