Rithwik Foundation is proud to present the June edition of E-Swaranubhuti, Featuring Vinayak Hegde (Vocal).

This performance is organised by Suburban Music Circle in association with Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts.

It will be broadcast on our digital platform ‘Sharada Rangamancha’ as well as on our YouTube channel.

Shri. Vinayak Hegde

Vinayak Hegde Mutmurudu was born into a music-loving family to Sri Dattatreya and Smt. Yashoda Hegde. Inspired from childhood by the legendary music of Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, he developed a deep passion for Hindustani classical music at a very young age.

His formal training began under Pt. Shripad Hegde Somanmane of Sirsi, followed by nine years of intensive guidance from renowned vocalist Pt. Jayateerth Mevundi of Hubli. He further refined his Bhimsen Joshi–style gayaki under Pt. Shrinivas Bhimsen Joshi for six years and is currently a gandabandh disciple of Pt. Upendra Bhat.

With over two decades of concert experience, Vinayak is a respected exponent of Kirana Gharana gayaki. Known for his rich, soulful voice, refined khayal and light classical presentations, and lightning-fast taans reminiscent of Pt. Bhimsen Joshi’s robust style, he has performed on prestigious platforms across India and internationally, including Singapore.

Bharat Kamat

Bharat Kamat was born and brought up in Pune and has risen to become one of the leading tabla artists in India today.

Since Kamat comes from a family of tabla exponents, he started learning the instrument at the age of five from his father, Pt Chandrakant Kamat. Bharat began his career with Pt Jitendra Abhisheki in 1987.

He has performed at prominent national festivals, including the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen festival, Vasantotsav, Ragmala, and many others.

He has participated in all the leading music festivals in India and has toured the USA, the UK, the UAE, Switzerland, Germany. He has worked with several recording labels, including HMV, Rhythm House, and Navras Records (London), and is a regular broadcaster with All India Radio and Doordarshan.

Suyog Kundalkar

Suyog is an established harmonium player of the younger generation.

He has achieved a distinct identity of his own at a very young age. He started training in Harmonium at the age of six from Smt.Ranjana Godse. Since 1997, he has been a devoted student of Dr. Arawind Thatte.

Also, a keen student of classical vocal music, Suyog has trained under Shri. Shreeram Devasthali, Shri. Suhas Datar and Smt. Lalita Khadilkar.

He has also participated in “Tappa” workshops conducted by Pt. Balasaheb Poochwale and Pt. Vasantrao Rajurkar. Suyog is an artist of the All India Radio and Doordarshan. Suyog is on the panel of ”Lalit Kala Kendra” (Centre for Performing Arts- Pune University) as a Guru.
