Anoor Vinod Shyam is a fifth-generation percussionist from the renowned Anoor musical lineage. Trained by Vidwan Rudrapatnam Satyakumar and Vidwan Anoor R. Ananthakrishna Sharma, he has over 18 years of performance experience across India and internationally. A versatile artist, he is proficient in Mridangam, Tabla, Khanjari, Dholak, Dholki, Pakhawaj, and Chende. His honors include the All India Radio National Award (2012), AIR ‘A’ Grade Artist status (2021), Best Mridangam Artist (2015) from Karnataka Fine Arts Council and Naada Yuva Puraskara (2021) by Naadamaya Trust, Bengaluru. He is also a dedicated teacher and actively supports the promotion of Indian classical arts through the Anoor Foundation.
