Shri. Rushikesh Jagtap

Rishikesh Jagtap, a young and promising tabla player from Pune, is recognized today as a talented and dedicated artist in the contemporary music scene. He received his foundational training in tabla from Pt. Shamsulal Pote and later pursued advanced studies under the guidance of the renowned maestro Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.

Rishikesh comes from a rich cultural and spiritual heritage. His great-grandfather was a respected saint of the Nath tradition, a lineage that instilled in him values and a disciplined approach to life from an early age.

Academically, Rishikesh holds both B.A. and M.A. degrees in Music, making him a versatile tabla player. Along with accompanying artists in classical vocal, semi-classical, and instrumental music genres, he also performs impactful tabla solos.

Over the years, he has collaborated with many eminent artists, including Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, Pt. Ajay Pohankar, Pt. Tulsidas Borkar, Pt. Jatin Meundi, Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki, Pt. Rajendra Kulkarni, Vidushi Padma Talwalkar, and Savani Shende, among others.

Rishikesh has showcased his art not only across major platforms in India but also internationally, captivating audiences with his melodious and energetic performances.
