We at RFPA have an exciting event planned in February. Presenting to you, e- Yuva Swaranubhuti February 2025 with a stellar Sitar Recital by Neha Mahajan.

This program was a part of ‘Triveni 2024’, which is broadcast as e-Yuva Swaranubhuti on our digital platform SHARADA RANGAMANCHA and on our YouTube channel.

Neha Mahajan | e-Yuva Swaranubhuti February 2025

Neha Mahajan, trained in Indian Raga music from an early age by her father, Shri Vidur Mahajan, developed her skills through exposure to great musicians and formal training at ITC Sangeet Research Academy.

Mentored in both Maihar and Senia sitar traditions, her training solidified under Ustad Zunain Khan of the Beenkar Gharana.

Neha has performed widely, from India to Canada, and recorded with Ricky Martin in 2020. She holds a Master’s in Philosophy and is proficient in German.

As an actress, in 2013, Mahajan played Ophelia in Madhav Vaze’s stage production of Hamlet in Marathi.

She then appeared in Ajoba (2013), and Feast of Varanasi (2014).

In 2015, she made her Mollywood debut as Vishaya in The Painted House, directed by Santhosh Babusenan and Satheesh Babusenan.

Anirudh Shankar | e-Yuva Swaranubhuti February 2025

Anirudh Shankar, is a young tabla player from Pune. He showed an early talent for rhythm and began formal training at age 4. Encouraged by blessings from Ustad Zakir Hussain, he trained at Ustad Allah Rakha’s Institute and studied under Shri Yatin Mokashi and Shri Nishikant Barodekar.

He also explores Carnatic rhythms with Smt. Sukanya Ramgopal. Known for his collaborations across genres, he has performed with notable artists like Dilshad Khan and Anupam Joshi.

An architecture graduate from CEPT University, he now pursues music full-time, balancing studio recordings, teaching, and live performances.
