This performance was originally a part of ‘Suburban Music Circle 2024’, organised by Suburban Music Circle in association with Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts.

Featured Artist

Arati Thakur-Kundalkar is a renowned Hindustani classical vocalist of the Kirana Gharana, trained under Dr. Prabha Atre and others. A graded All India Radio artist, she excels in khyal, thumri, bhajan, and natyasangeet. She has performed at prestigious festivals like Sawai Gandharva and NCPA, and is a recipient of awards such as the Sur-Maniand Pt. Ramkrishnabuwa Vaze Yuva Gayak Puraskar. Arati is the co-founder of Swaravartan Foundation & Academy and teaches at Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University.

Rushikesh Jagtap is a skilled tabla artist based in Pune. He has trained under renowned gurus including Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar and Shri Milind Pote. Rushikesh has accompanied several eminent vocalists and instrumentalists in classical concerts across India. He is known for his versatility, crisp tayyari, and sensitivity as an accompanist.

Suyog Kundalkar is a renowned harmonium artist from Pune. He trained under Dr. Arvind Thatte and began learning at age six from Smt. Ranjana Godse. He has also received vocal training from senior gurus. A graded AIR artist and ICCR empanelled performer, he teaches at Lalit Kala Kendra, Pune University. Suyog has accompanied maestros like Kishori Amonkar, Gangubai Hangal, and Ulhas Kashalkar. He has received awards such as the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and Kishori Amonkar Sangatkar Puraskar.
